Description
MANIFEST, IMAGINE, EXPERIENCE, FEEL!
In collaboration with the Centro Galego de Arte Contemporáneo -CGAC-, we propose a series of architecture workshops for children. The objective is to provide children with the necessary keys to interpret contemporary architecture through the legacy of the most relevant figures of our time in this field.
Architects David Antuña and Víctor González and artist Rebeca Mariño introduce participants to the exciting world of contemporary architecture. Each workshop is dedicated to an author representative of the different generations of architects from the avant-garde to the present and is developed according to the philosophy of each creator.
Play is fundamental during all sessions. The didactics of Sistema Lupo are used both in terms of material and content. It is an experimental didactic that encourages individual reflection and creativity as well as teamwork through large-scale construction dynamics.
The methodology includes a theoretical part, where an approach to the figure and thinking of each architect is made, and then a series of constructive challenges are posed.
Program 6th edition
The CGAC presents the sixth edition of this cycle of workshops dedicated to contemporary architecture for children. And as has become traditional, we will close the program with a workshop for families.
The workshops, which take place on the last weekend of each month, are directed by architect Fermín Blanco with the support of the didactic team of Sistema Lupo. Its objective is to provide children with the tools and keys necessary to interpret the architecture of our time through theories, projects and works of the most important architects of recent times. As in every edition, the themes will be dealt with transversally, using architecture as a common thread. In this case we use the figure of the author to introduce us to creative worlds through his thoughts.
Sistema Lupo is committed to active, experimental teaching, a mixture of theory and practice, where play is the real binding agent of a creative dynamic of a cooperative nature. In parallel to its own didactics, Lupo is committed to the development of cooperative play tools where the construction game is at the core of the research.
