Among the great and interesting industrial works of Navarra, the Aqueduct of Noáin stands out as one of the most spectacular projects of the time and now declared an asset of cultural interest. Built to supply water to Pamplona and save the unevenness of the land, the water traveled hidden from the Subiza spring, at the foot of the Sierra del Perdón, until it reached the capital on the south side.
The project for the construction of the Noain Aqueduct is entrusted to the royal architect Ventura Rodríguez and in 1790 this hydraulic infrastructure, pharaonic and spectacular for the time, was inaugurated, which involved the channeling of water along 16.5 kilometers of route.
